A 4 hour chartered fishing & crab trip out of the beautiful little harbor of Depoe Bay, Oregon back in 2001. Clips from the 4 hour trip are compressed into a brief 10 minute video.
The other folks scheduled to be on the boat with us cancelled. The skipper was unable to book anyone else and we were fortunate enough toe be able to keep our entire day’s catch of crab as those are generally split between the groups onboard.
Needless to say it was a VERY successful trip – so much that we were forced to purchase a new Extra Large cooler before making the journey from the coast back to Portland to share a fresh fish and crab dinner with the local relatives.
This video also serves as an unintended visual lesson on HOW TO clean Dungeness Crab prior to cooking! Also, a HOW TO fillet a fish quick and clean! Fishing out of Depoe Bay produces Ling Cod (Lingcod), Various Rockfish Sea Bass, Copper Rock, Sea Trout, Halibut, Salmon, Tuna, Cabezon, and more…

You may live your life and never see anything like this! The entire Sebastian inlet was filled with pinfish. The tarpon, redfish and snook were so thick you could walk on them. We took a piece of stingray out for shark bait. While Josh was taking photos with the red, the Avet 80 started screaming! Jeff fought the shark and eventually the line broke. Jeff caught a two redfish (only one is shown in this video) and I caught a 44″ redfish. This was an amazing sight to see! Jahorace Epps helped film this video.
